  • Patented one-piece design with no joints, cracks or edges.
  • Nipple design allows babies to mimic a natural sucking rhythm, making it easier for babies that have difficulty latching.
  • Suctions on to all breast shapes, making it easier for new mums to use and enjoy a hands-free breastfeeding experience.
  • The anti-slip ridged outer edge make the nipple shield easier to hold while the baby is feeding.
  • Anti-colic and variable flow nipple allows baby to drink continuously without gasping for air or drinking bubbles and prevents them from choking if milk flows too fast.
  • Space between mum’s nipple and the nipple shield head prevents baby from biting the nipple.

Regretful purchase. Would love a refund. I think people need to know before purchasing that this is only for women with extremely long nipples.

Hi Kate Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the Haakaa nipple shield did not work for you. What makes the Haakaa nipple shield unique is that it uses suction to attach to the breast. Once the suction is obtained the nipple will be drawn into the tip of the shield, so the product is great for all nipple shape and lengths. It does sometimes take some time and practice to get the hang of nipple shields and for bub to accept it. You can express a bit of breast milk into the shield to entice your baby to take the nipple. Once the bub starts to suck on the nipple it will create a flow and will help suction the nipple shield onto the breast. Hope that helps and please know we are always here to help - info@milkbarbreastpumps.com.au. Sarah :)
Not others words then Amazing

I suffered from inverted nipples and badly grazed nipples making breastfeeding a very painful experience but when I tried the haakaa shield my baby attached straight away and I had no pan what so ever! I would Highly recommended!

Game Changer: The only thing that worked

Omg this shield is the greatest thing that ever happened to me I just ordered two more in case I lose it. You still get the ‘feeling’ of breastfeeding (let down/bonding but zero pain). I have a newborn and was experiencing the same issues I had breastfeeding my now three year old.. ineffective latch (strong and bitey). Tried other shields, lactation consultants, chirporactors. Finally I have a solution. I’m so so happy.

Good idea but bub not too keen

It’s a great idea for people transitioning to the bottle or with super sore nipples if you can get it to flow, for me baby tried and tried but couldn’t get a steady flow and ended up just taking it off and bearing the pain. Like I said it is probably a life saver for some, just not for us!

Completely solved my feeding issues. Breastfeeding was just too painful for me and these shields helped me be able to breastfeed without the pain! Would 100% recommend to other mums having difficulties
