Hello, gorgeous mama! I am so glad you found Milkbar :)
Milkbar Breastpumps is a family run small business committed to providing Australian Mum's with products that you can trust to help support you in your breastfeeding journey and nurture and nourish the special bond with your baby.
Breastfeeding doesn’t always come easily so we offer a selection of 'mum approved' products with same day dispatch and express delivery options so you're not left waiting with a crying baby.
"This is by far the best baby purchase I made. I have had issues with low supply and this has been a godsend. It catches so much in let down. Everyone should get one!!"- Dana C
"I bought this while in hospital and my bub ended up in the special care nursery for a number of reasons. It was here with my family when I got home. I used it straight away and have now used it every 3 hrs since and it is amazing!! So thankful i bought this product."- Mel
"I’m so in love with this massager. It arrived two days after I got out of hospital from mastitis and it had been such a life saver. After damaging my skin trying to remove the blockage this helped move it pain free which has let the skin heal but the blockage still move. It’s amazing!"- Tanya P
As any mother will tell you, worrying about your breastmilk supply is at the very top of the list of new mummy concerns. Am I making enough milk? Is my newborn getting enough of the good stuff? Add in a healthy helping of sleep deprivation and post-birth hormones and it’s not surprising that there’s a very real chance of tears.
At Milkbar we are often asked how to create your very first stash of breastmilk. It can be a nervous time as a new mum as you juggle breastfeeding your baby and the thought of having to pump between breastfeeds is the last thing you feel like doing. The excitement of a date night or a few extra z's can quickly be replaced by dread at the thought of pumping and working out how to collect some extra breastmilk when you have a baby glued to you 24-7.
It's now mid December (can you believe it!) so you may be thinking can I have an alcoholic drink (or two ) if I'm breastfeeding?
The Australian Breastfeeding Association has a great app called ‘Feed Safe’ which estimates when alcohol has completely left your system. While the safest option when breastfeeding is to avoid alcohol, there have been studies to suggest that the alcohol content that passes into your breastmilk is small.
