I was so disappointed when I got tjese, in their lovely case and all and found that they made my already sore nipples even more painful at breastfeeding due to their small size... they really should offer a range of sizes to suit the diverse shapes and anatomies of all women. Now I can't even return them, real shame :/

Too small
These would be great if they actually fit. Unfortunately no size is mentioned on the website. I have since looked on the haakaa website which says they are 18mm.

A Must!!!!
Definitely something I couldn't have done without this breastfeeding journey. My son had latch issues from the beginning but thankfully we've gotten better, however, while we were learning to be better I had sore and cracked and blistered nipples so the shields provided that protection but still gave me the ability to breast feed.

comes to the rescue when baby is fussing at the boob
originally bought this to cope with nipple rawness in the early days of breastfeeding, but have since found that it helps calm my baby when he's fussing at the boob as well. i would pop these on to help him latch and once he gets his rhythm going i'll quickly slip it off, very helpful during the witching hour and the good old wonder weeks. despite not having a suction feature, the soft silicone clings to the breast well and doesn't fall off easily unless the baby knocks it off with his hand forcefully.
