I absolutely love this Gen 3 Haakaa I have the Gen 2 while I love the suction base on G2 I found I always had it get knocked off my other boob by little one kicking me 🙄 with this one it was a wider base and feels more secure I have had zero spills. It also helps me get much more milk out huge difference and less pain with suction (Haakaa users will know what I mean). My only critique is the test seems really really slow for my LO. For reference we use a current teat by a brand starting with M and uniquely shaped as a nipple teat and still use the 1 month flow (my LO is 5 1/2mnths) so the slow Haakaa nipple is incredibly slow considering we don’t use generic fast flow teats. Do yourself a favour and buy this pump! Skip previous generations!
Literally couldn’t say anything bad about this. Everything you need to express and feed bubs. Perfect.
I bought this to create a small store of milk from the alternating boobs that bub wasn’t drinking from at night. It’s been easy to use, quick and easy to sterilise. It’s the first bottle he’s had (ebf) and he latched easy- just guzzled it a bit too fast which I guess is expected! Bargain for the price.
I love love LOVE my original Haakaa breast pump and was really excited about this one because of the detachable bottle top to pump and feed immediately. This one doesn't pump as well as the original due to the bottom half being stiffer/harder to squeeze and also the suction isn't as strong due to being split in half but it is still convenient to pump straight into a bottle and feed, even if it takes a little longer. My tip, which I discovered the second time I used it, is to make sure the top is screwed on very tightly otherwise the suction will be affected. I love the versatility, it can be used for storage as well as for feeding solids with the feeding spoon head or as a drink bottle. It's fantastic for on the go!
Glad your loving the Haakaa Gen3. We have found the Gen3 actually has a stronger suction due to the thicker base. If you still need a stronger suction - try folding back the flange before attaching. Hope this helps :)
Bought this Instead of the Gen 2 die to its practically and as well as hoping that it’ll save my time in pumping milk.
However, it did not quite work for me. Have only been able to express 10-20ml (usually the lower volume) milk while breastfeeding and I have to drain my breast using electric pump after. Also, I find the pump is a bit heavy and can cause pain sometimes.
Have not tried the Gen 2 but I wish I would have bought that first to try out before going for Gen 3.
