How To Use
Before each use, wash and sterilise the nipple shield. Gently turn the shield inside out, centre it over your nipple, and press it onto the breast to create a secure fit. Ensure your baby latches onto the shield properly and feeds comfortably. After feeding, remove the shield, clean thoroughly with warm soapy water, rinse well, and sterilise for next use.
Care
After each use, wash the nipple shield in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Sterilise by boiling in water for 2–3 minutes or using a steam steriliser. Avoid harsh cleaners, UV sterilisers, or abrasive brushes, as these may damage the silicone. Store in a clean, dry place inside the provided storage case, away from direct sunlight. Regularly inspect for signs of wear and replace if damaged.

I don’t usually leave reviews but considering how helpful this shield was I feel I need to! I highly recommend the round teat shield if you have a baby that is having trouble latching. I used this shield 6 years ago on and off with my first baby (had to pump for 5 weeks, then baby finally latched but feeding was painful so I would use this shield especially at night because it was much more comfortable feeding with it, I think I used it until he was around 3 months old). With my second baby last year, she didn’t latch for 10 days, then latched on my left nipple but couldn’t latch on my right nipple. So I tried this shield again and she could feed really well on the right side with the shield, I continued to pump and use the shield at times until a friend commented that she seemed to feed really well with the shield, so I started using the shield on the right side exclusively when baby was 2 weeks old but carefully monitored babies weight and wet nappies which were great (continued to gain weight well and have lots of wet nappies) so I continued using this shield on the right side until baby finally latched without it at about 4 months old! Very honestly, I didn’t like having to use the shield because it’s just that extra thing you need to take with you when you leave the house and also it’s just so much nicer breastfeeding without it BUT I was really thankful for the shield because pumping and bottle feeding is so time consuming and just a pain in the butt, being able to just feed baby with the shield instead made life so much easier!
This product is great I was having trouble getting my baby to latch and stay in the breast for feeding but after purchasing this product it has been 100% better
Baby had difficulties latching from birth so Ive had to bottle feed him which led him to a bottle preference. When I tried to transition to the breast he just refused & pushed back every time, it was a screaming ordeal every feed without success, until I came across these shields. I used the round teat one & Baby latched straight away & stayed on each breast for 40mins! love that it suctions well, compared to the many shields I’ve tried, this one actually works! I was so happy I cried happy tears. Thank u for such an affordable & great product! It also arrived very quickly, purchased on Friday & received on Monday. Highly recommend this product!
We had to start bottle feed our baby before leaving the hospital as her weight dropped more than 10% from birth. So even though my milk had came through within the first week, my baby would not take to the breast any more. Each feed was a challenge as she fought it and cried so much it made me feel so defeated. We tried seeing couple of LCs and different nipple shields and they had failed to help. The first time we used the Haakaa shield she latched straight away! She became more comfortable being near me during feeding time. For the first time I was able to just relax a bit during our feeds. Since then we had another GP/LC visit and after adjusting a few things, my baby finally latched on for all her feeds. I would say the Haakaa shield played an integral part to this success.
My daughter spent the first few weeks in SCN and was given bottles because my milk took so long to come in. By the time we got her home my milk had just starting coming in at a good rate but she would scream until red in the face every time I put her near my boobs which made me feel so defeated especially after breastfeeding her sister for 2.5 years with no issues. I was still pumping the whole time and felt like I was doing double the work without the reward of getting to feed her the way I wanted too. I tried everything. Ordinary nipple shields, milk supply lines, finger feeding with syringes to get her use to the slow flow again, different BF positions. LC after LC. Nothing worked so I continued to give her bottles and gave up.
I came across this website and saw this shield and decided to read the reviews, I thought sure one last try, and ordered the round option as it’s the closest to the bottles.
Im so happy to say she took to it straight away, I put it on and she was sucking within a minute I was so happy and shocked! It definitely takes some getting use too but is totally worth it. It’s saved my breastfeeding journey with my daughter.
